We’re Being Honored! HII to be given the Youth Environmental Leadership Award

The Human Impacts Institute (HII) is pleased to announce that our partners at NYC’s Green School–a public, progressive high school where the focus is on sustainability–will be awarding HII with the Youth Environmental Leadership Development Award at their 2012 Benefit. The HII is honored to be selected by the Green School and shares the award night with City Councilwoman Diana Reyna (another partner of HII) for her commitment to community environmental advocacy. Here’s what the Green School’s principal had to say about HII:Since the inception of our partnership, we have come to know The Human Impacts Institute as an important growing force in the field of environmental leadership development. Through your programming our students have learned about environmental advocacy and tree stewardship, and through your work in our community and also internationally crucial issues are being addressed in educational settings. Our partnership has truly improved our learning environment and enrichment to students and staff.
