"Bobcat" is part of "Why are we telling all this history?", a series of new collages that draws upon vintage ephemera and artifacts in order to call attention to human actions that have brought us into this 6th extinction. The anthropocene can't help but come across to many as an academic abstraction. But the extinction of charismatic megafauna--due in no small part to the climate crisis--is something that gets people's attention. Many if not all of the animals depicted in this collage series will have vanished in the coming decades.
