ABOUT THE YAC
The Youth Advisory Council (YAC) is a global, youth-led network within the Human Impacts Institute. Its members shape how young people drive climate justice through creativity, awareness, and bold ideas.
HII is an international nonprofit that uses arts and culture to fight for climate justice. The YAC is where the next generation of climate leaders helps steer that work.
How members join
YAC membership grows directly from our Artivism & Amplifiers (A&A) Fellowship. Fellows who complete the program are invited to join the Council, carrying their training and community into a longer-term leadership role.
That means the YAC is built from people who already know the work: storytellers, organizers, and advocates from frontline communities around the world.

THE YOUTH CLIMATE CHAT
The YAC produces its own podcast, The Youth Climate Chat, where members dig into the issues they care about most, from environmental justice to extreme weather and the social systems that tie them together.
