This artwork combines interwoven fabrics from coarse jute to silk, using upcycled materials to express the beauty, brutality, and reality of modern day feminism. It asks us to reflect on where we are placing those objects, and on what other creative, colorful solutions we can have to our discarded waste rather than them ending up in landfills. Through materials reuse and bold colors, Feminine Grid dares us to investigate how women care for our planet and how the fight for gender equality is central to addressing the climate crisis.
