Digital Nesting & Crystal Perch

Digital Nesting 2024:

Wire, Coconut Matte, Digitally Printed Chiffon, Pillow Moss, Grapevine, Live Succulents, Dyed Feathers, Dried Flowers, and found Natural Materials, 21x15x39 in.

Digital Nesting reimagine clouds as aerial ecosystems, blending live and preserved plants, moss, and fabric to symbolize the harmony between nature and urban life. By visually merging the natural world with urban elements, Wood crafts dreamlike scenes that encourage viewers to reflect on their relationship with nature and the environments they inhabit.

Wood’s  work explores the intersections of time, nature, and the built environment, creating blurred spaces where interiors, building facades, and cityscapes merge with the natural world. Through sculpture and installations, they probe questions of scale, permanence, and the evolving relationship between urban spaces and the natural cycles of growth, decay, and change.
