The Creative Climate Awards 2026 celebrate Collective Power—the strength we build when communities, artists, and cultural leaders unite to drive climate action. This year’s theme spotlights works that center shared agency, joyful resistance, and the collective strategies needed to counter disinformation, strengthen democracy, and advance climate justice.

Experience a month-long exhibition of thought-provoking artworks, performances, community-driven activations, and a film festival—all designed to inspire collaboration and spark solutions rooted in the power of people working together.

Guided Visits

We are pleased to offer private group tours for schools, professional organizations, and community groups throughout the duration of CCA 2026.

Tours are available every Tuesday to Friday, from April 17 to May 14, between 12:00 PM and 5:00 PM.

These tours provide a unique opportunity to engage with thought-provoking artwork and explore transformative ideas for a just and sustainable future.

The Creative Climate Awards bring together a panel of judges whose work spans art, activism, science, and policy. Each one is driven by a shared belief: that culture is a powerful force for climate justice. We are grateful for their time, expertise, and commitment to recognizing bold creative work.

HII's Board Member, Founder and Executive Director of EcoHope Mozambique

Célio Monteiro José

Célio Monteiro José is a Mozambican environmental advocate and social entrepreneur dedicated to climate justice, youth empowerment, and community-driven sustainability. He is the Founder and Executive Director of EcoHope, a youth-led organization based in Manica Province that promotes agroforestry, regenerative agriculture, and environmental education.

Emmy-winning, Academy Award nominated Producer and Founder of Cine Mosaic

Lydia Dean Pilcher

Lydia Dean Pilcher is a cultural strategist, climate leader, installation artist, and filmmaker of over 40 award-winning feature films & TV series. Her New York based production company, Cine Mosaic, works with partners in Europe, U.S. India, Turkey, Africa, and the Middle East. Pilcher has an extensive track record of creating innovative cross-industry/multi-stakeholder collaborations to drive narrative change. She works with UN Climate Change, Entertainment and Culture for Climate Action (ECCA), supporting filmmakers in the program, Earth Witness: from Story to Policy; and leads efforts with Hollywood unions, guilds, and studios to promote clean energy and climate storytelling. In 2024 Pilcher co-founded Global Rise: Stories for the Future, providing training and workshops in climate storytelling for creatives, social amplifiers and community leaders

NYC Mayor’s Office of Climate & Environmental Justice - Senior Advisor, Environmental Justice

Belinda C. Chiu

Belinda Chiu is a Senior Advisor for Environmental Justice at the NYC Mayor's Office of Climate and Environmental Justice, where she leads community engagement work to advance the city's first-ever Environmental Justice Plan. With a Master's in International Health from Johns Hopkins Bloomberg School of Public Health and over a decade of experience at the intersection of public health, climate action, and community organizing, Belinda brings a deep commitment to uplifting frontline voices and driving systemic change. Her work spans coalition building, program management, and social and behavior change communications across the US and internationally.
