The Water God, 2012 Acrylic on Linen, Tapestry / Courtney Hayes-Sturgeon

The Water God serves as a reminder of the challenges posed by rising water levels and rapid development. Amidst these challenges, the artist's message remains one of hope and positivity. Through vibrant imagery, The Water God invites viewers to contemplate the potential for innovation and creativity in addressing environmental concerns.

Through collective efforts and a commitment to living in harmony with nature, we can create a future where humans coexist with the flora and fauna of our magnificent planet in a just and sustainable manner.

Courtney Hayes is a Massachusetts based painter born in Southern Indiana, also raised in Virginia and the Western suburbs of Chicago and has taught all levels of art, Pre-K through Adult Ed.
